Conditions générales

By placing a deposit with The Bamboo Rooms, you agree to our terms and conditions and accept responsibility for adhering to them. These terms will be sent to all customers before booking.

Before You Book:

  • Consent Form: At your appointment, you’ll be required to complete a consent form disclosing any health conditions and medications. Some conditions may prevent us from tattooing you. Please feel free to request a copy of the consent form in advance. All personal information is stored securely and disposed of in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Important: We cannot tattoo you unless you fully complete the consent form. Failure to do so will result in the loss of your deposit. It is your responsibility to fill out the form accurately and honestly. The Bamboo Rooms is not responsible for any issues that arise due to undeclared medical conditions.
  • Skin Condition: We cannot tattoo skin showing signs of inflammation, damage, or infection (e.g., eczema, acne, cuts, sunburn). Tattoos can trigger flare-ups of existing conditions. If your skin is unsuitable for tattooing on the day of your appointment, your deposit will not be refunded.
  • Timing with Other Treatments: Leave at least 2 weeks between your tattoo and any vaccine (including flu or COVID). Additionally, leave 2 weeks between your tattoo and cosmetic treatments like fillers, microblading, or Botox. Consult your GP if necessary and inform us about any ongoing treatments or medications before booking.
  • Design Policy: While we prefer to collaborate and draw designs with you in person, we can create and send designs in advance for your approval. A £20 deposit is required before any design work is carried out. This amount will be deducted from the final tattoo cost.
  • All designs remain the property of The Bamboo Rooms until the tattoo is completed and may not be replicated.
  • Design Approval: It is the client’s responsibility to review and approve all details of the design before the tattoo process begins. This includes confirming that all spelling (excluding designs in Thai) is correct and that you are satisfied with the final design and colors.
  • Numbing Cream: Let us know in advance if you plan to use numbing cream, as it can affect the texture of your skin and how the tattoo is applied. Failure to notify us may result in a loss of your deposit.
  • Ethics: We do not tattoo offensive or racist designs. We may also decline designs inspired by sacred cultural or religious imagery if deemed inappropriate by the artist. For example, certain Sak Yants or images of Buddha will not be placed below the waist.

Booking Your Appointment:

  • Deposit: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required for each tattoo. Deposits are payable via bank transfer.
  • Appointment Confirmation: Once your deposit is received, we’ll confirm your booking. Please ensure the date you select is stress-free and allows ample time for your tattoo.

Rescheduling & Cancellations:

  • Notice for Rescheduling: At least 14 days’ notice is required to transfer your deposit to a new date. Less than 14 days’ notice will result in the loss of your deposit. We will only reschedule one time, so please ensure you are available when making your appointment.
  • Feeling Unwell: If you feel unwell, please contact us at least 2 hours before your appointment, and we will do our best to fill your time slot. If we are unable to fill the time slot, your deposit will be forfeited. Deposits will not be refunded for last-minute cancellations without sufficient notice.

On the Day of Your Appointment:

  • Client Responsibility: It is your responsibility to arrive healthy, sober, and fit for your tattoo. Do not arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as we will not tattoo you, and your deposit will be lost.
  • Prepare Well: Eat a good meal at least 2 hours before your appointment to stabilize your energy levels. Bring snacks and drinks with you, especially for longer sessions.
  • Punctuality: Arrive at the scheduled time (not early or late). Arrivals over 20 minutes late may be charged for lost time or have their appointment canceled, resulting in a lost deposit.
  • Guests and Children: Guests, including children, are welcome in the studio, but they must behave and not distract the artist. Disruptive behavior may result in the guest or child being asked to leave to maintain a safe and calm environment for the client and artist.

During Your Tattoo:

  • Comfort Items: Blankets and adjustments for lighting and music are available to ensure your comfort.
  • Payment Options: We accept cash, bank transfer, or contactless payment. Bank transfer or cash is preferred.
  • Tattoo Aftercare: Aftercare instructions will be provided after the tattoo is completed. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions. The Bamboo Rooms is not responsible for issues with your tattoo that arise due to neglect of proper aftercare.

The Bamboo Rooms reserves the right to refuse service or cancel appointments for any reason. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a professional, calm, and safe environment for all clients.
